What is a Precinct Election Official or PEO?

A PEO is an Election Judge. In Ohio a PEO is a registered voter who, on election day, is an official responsible for proper and orderly voting in their assigned precinct/polling location.

What is a Voting Location Manager or VLM?

A VLM is an Election Judge that takes a little more responsibility over his or her precinct and double checks to make sure everything is done accurately and timely.

What are the requirements for all PEO’s in Muskingum County

• Must be at least 17 years of age and a Senior in High School and a U.S. Citizen
• Must be a registered voter in Muskingum County
• Must not have been convicted of a felony
• Cannot be running as or related to a candidate for the election in which you are working
• Must attend a training session
• Must have transportation to and from the polling place
• Election Day hours: 5:30am to approx. 8:30pm with lunch break
